His teacher's name is Mrs. Julie. Once the kids were dismissed from the sanctuary they had to walk down the hallway of the church all by themselves and find their blanket in the room where they were to meet. ET left my side without any hesitation and headed off to class. Little did he know that I was 20 feet behind watching him and getting a little emotional. I was so very proud of him. :)
All of the students met in a smaller sanctuary and were divided into small classes. Each class sat on a large blanket. All the blankets were different colors. ET's blanket color was ivory. The bible verse he was asked to learn was: 1 Peter 2:17, "Show proper respect to everyone." He also had to discuss with Jay and I three respectful actions, three disrespectful actions, and why God cares if we are respectful.
On Friday, September 17th, we went to the church to watch a fun show about taking initiative. ET learned that taking initiative means seeing someone needs help and taking action even when they haven't asked for help.
So far we are excited about starting ET and getting more involved at church and building his relationship with The Lord.
It was such a beautiful day, I wanted to take a pic of ET outside of the church. As you can tell from the picture the sun was a little too bright.

Jay is playing in the band. This particular week he was playing the guitar. It is a little tough to see him, but it was the best pic I could get.
