ET will start speech therapy...

ET had an appointment today at Children's for a speech evaluation. He scored a 93. Boys his age can range anywhere between 85-115. Being that he falls right in the middle, he technically does not qualify for any therapy. However, because he has shown frustration with being understood at times, we are going through with therapy anyways. He has a hard time with any hard C or K sounds, along with a few other letter combinations (G, F, TH, L, etc.). He will start on July 1st. Jay will be taking him once a week. Hopefully, this will help him and we won't interfere with him progressing at a natural pace. I will keep you updated as more goes on. This is all contingent with our insurance though. We have the recommendation for therapy, but insurance can say they will not cover it because he did not fall below on his test score. Keep your fingers crossed!
