First we took the train downtown to Macy's to see the holiday display titled, "A Day in the Life of an Elf!" The display showed many exhibits of Santa's elves at the North Pole as they prepare for Christmas. This was the first time any of us had been to this. It was a good time. There were so many fun things to look at. I think ET would have stayed all day, but you're kind of forced to keep moving because it is so busy. After walking through, we stopped at Mrs. Claus's bakery to get a treat for the kids. Sydney chose a cupcake and ET chose a frosted snowman cookie.
Next we all bundled up and headed outside to watch the Holidazzle parade. All the floats and outfits that every person wore was covered in Christmas lights! ET's favorite's were the circus train and Santa and his sleigh at the end of the parade.
After the parade, we hopped back on the train, got our cars at the mall and then headed over to Lucky's for a very late dinner. ET had so much fun hanging out with just big cousin Sydney. At the restaurant, he was showing off how he could write his name, write other letters, and spell words. Sydney was showing off how she could write in cursive "really fast." I had a great time catching up with Twyla over a nice meal. It really was a great evening, and it definitely put me in the holiday spirit, and helped me to realize I only have four more weeks until Christmas!
