ET was so excited to turn 6 that he had been counting down the days for about a week (much like any kid would do). He majorly lucked out and had "Field Day" at his school the day of his birthday. Jay had the day off of work, so he surprised him with Subway for lunch and stayed to volunteer at one of the Field Day stations (the obstacle course).
He has to hold up two hands now to show how old he is! :)
ET chose to bring ice cream sandwiches to school for his birthday snack and have an ice cream sundae bar for his snack at daycare. This kid loves ice cream!
We brought him to Margarita's for dinner. They put whipped cream in his face before singing to him. As you can tell from the picture, he was not too happy about this. I asked him if he would have laughed if they had put the whipped cream in Dad's face and he said, "Yes!" Ha!
We came home and ET had to go on a scavenger hunt for six one dollar bills. Jay made a poem for each clue in the hunt. At the end we had him exchange five of his one dollar bills for a five dollar bill. He has been learning about the value of money at school, so this was a big deal to him.
He received a new CD of all of his favorite songs. Jay has been doing this for him every year for the last three years.
Lastly, he received his biggest Lego set yet. An Avengers ship!
More pictures to come of ET's birthday party with his friends...
