St. Patrick's Day!

I was so happy to have ET and his friend A join us all week for Spring break!  What a treat!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day on Friday, March 15.  Here are a few pics...

The kids did a number of other worksheets, sang songs, read books, went on a scavenger hunt, recited a fingerplay, etc. all relating to St. Patrick's Day.  For snack we made fresh green guacamole.  This was a great healthy alternative to cupcakes.  I am kind of "cupcaked out" for a while.

Dr. Seuss Week...

We started out March celebrating Dr. Seuss.  This year I decided to stick to the regular curriculum throughout the morning, and do a mini-lesson on a few of the books during the afternoon hours.  We started out each day reading a book, and then eating a snack that matched.  After snack we kept ourselves busy with a few learning activities.

Piano...

Wow!  I has been over a month since my last post.  I am a little behind, but life has just been so busy.

About 3-4 weeks ago ET and I finished our first books in piano.  I has been about a year since I started now, and 9 months in for ET.  Our teacher says we are both going at a great pace.

I could not be more proud of ET.  He fought piano at the beginning, but now he is definitely used to it.  He picks on each new skill so easily.  He is reading notes on a staff now!  It is a lot of fun to watch him play!
