Emmett's 7th Birthday!

I cannot believe our little guy turned 7 recently!  It feels too old, and I know I will probably say that every year after.  Emmett is a happy, healthy, vibrant boy who melts our heart on a daily basis!  We could not be more proud!

For his birthday this year we opted out on the party.  Instead Emmett requested a chicken dinner on the eve of his birthday (it was a school night).  He also requested black bean brownies.  He sure knows how to make it simple for me!  Paul had lunch with him at his school, and then we enjoyed the evening together.
I love that he still wanted a birthday crown from the daycare!  Look at that smile!
He was a bit spoiled this year.  His one and only request was a Darth Maul light saber.  He got this, an electric Razor scooter, and a floor air hockey table.  All big kid toys, which makes me even more emotional.

Emmett has been spending A LOT of time playing with his light sabers lately.  It has been helping him with his baseball swing!

Memorial Day Weekend...

Our Memorial Day weekend was great!  We chilled on Friday evening and just grilled as a family.  Jay was exhausted from all the hard work he had done involving the playground (he took off Thursday and Friday from work).  On Saturday we headed over to a friends house in the evening.  The kids had fun playing and we had our first taste of S'mores for the year!

On Sunday we went to Tamarack Nature Center.  The kids played on the nature playground.  It was okay, but not overly exciting.

It was a beautiful view!  I would love to go back hiking some day!

Afterwards, we headed over to our favorite restaurant and ate out on the patio for the first time this year!  Pure bliss!

Sunday evening was spent with more friends!  The kids had a blast with water balloons!

Monday was spent chilling around the house.  The kids ran through the sprinkler in the backyard and played with neighborhood friends.  Simple times, yet memorable!

Playground Remodel...

I truly have the most amazing husband!!!!  He completed this MASSIVE project on his own, and words cannot describe how thankful I am!  He did a phenomenal job!
The kids were so excited to watch the dump truck deliver the mulch!

What a beautiful playground for some very lucky munchkins!

Twins Game...

We were so fortunate to have been invited to a Twins game on May 17.  Even more fortunate that our other friends took our boys overnight, so we could have a fun day out on the town!  We met our good friends Jason and Barb at Lucky's for lunch.  We played Bingo and ate lunch.  After lunch we made our way downtown and hopped around a bit.  It was so great to feel free and young!  Jason and Barb surprised us with AWESOME seats.  As you can see from the pics, we were right up in front and to the right of the Twins dugout!  How incredible!  It was such a fun night and the weather was perfect!!!!
