Blessed to be a Mother...

Word cannot express how grateful I feel to be these boy's Mom!
I thank God every day for the gift He has given me!
I LOVE BEING A MOM!!!!
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women who have inspired me to be the woman I am today!

Mother's Day Weekend!

Mother's Day weekend was very busy for us!  My sister Twyla and her family came into town Thursday-Saturday for a friend's wedding.
I will start by showing a photo of Nate and his Mother's Day craft.  I will have to update this later with Emmett's craft that he made for me at school.
On Friday night Twyla and Doug left for the wedding rehearsal at about 12:15 pm.  Paul and I watched my nieces and nephews overnight.  The kids had such a fun time together!
My sister's kids left on Saturday around 10:30 am.  They spent the night in Stillwater for the wedding.  Saturday night we had our first bonfire of the season.  This definitely called for S'mores!
One of the neighbor boys hung out with us all evening...

This was my favorite Mother's Day gift!  Nate fell asleep on my lap on Saturday after we came in to watch TV for a bit.  These days are numbered, so I tried to savor every bit of it.  I love this little guy!
On Sunday, I hosted a Mother's Day brunch for my sister Twyla and her family before they left town.  She requested a Bloody Mary bar...I could not disappoint!
Paul grilled chicken and ribs, and I made a few sides.  For dessert, I made chocolate fondue!  The kids and grown-ups loved it!
We dipped strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, and pound cake!  Yummy!

I love this photo!
This is what happens when you give the kids your camera to play with...Ha!

Baseball!

Baseball season has officially started!  This is Emmett's fourth year, and Nate's first.  Emmett is in Pitch-ball and plays Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Nate is in instructional T-Ball and plays Mondays and Wednesdays.  Our weeks are completely book from now until the middle of July.  It will be time well spent though, so I am not complaining.  Nate has surprised us!  He is so focused and plays with all of his heart in it!  Emmett amazed us right off the bat (no pun intended).  He hit a GRAND SLAM during his first game!!!!!  We are excited for what is to come!

I love this photo!!!!  Nate is number 4, and Emmett is number 13.

Grandma Mavis's 90th Birthday Party...

On the last weekend of April we had the privilege of celebrating Paul's Grandma Mavis's 90th birthday!!!!  We headed to her home in Wisconsin for lunch and birthday cake!  This woman is so inspiring!  She is such a kind and caring role model!  We can only hope that we are as happy, healthy, capable, and beautiful as she is some day!

She is a treasure to our family, and these photos will be forever treasured!
Cake, coffee, and the arms around love who love her...doesn't this make you smile!

Father/Son Retreat...

On the weekend of April 19th and 20th, Paul and Emmet went to their first Father/Son retreat at Convenant Pines Bible Camp.  They had a memorable time together!  We were all so thankful for their quality time spent together and the opportunity to do grow closer in their relationsip to Christ.

Emmett loves bunk beds!
 "GaGa Ball!"
 Chapel...
Some day, Emmett will have to take a shot at the slingshot/BB gun station...
 Rock climbing wall...
Emmett's biggest moment...Climbing the tall tower and riding the zipline!

 Wow!
