Space Unit...

These are just a few photos of Nate from when we learned about space during the month of March.
The kids dressed up their animals in an astronaut costume!
The kids made puppets with photos of themselves!
Galaxy Goo!!!!

District Art Show!

Emmett was 1 of 3 students asked to represent the entire second grade at the District Art Show!  We were SO PROUD!  He needs these small confidence boosters in life!  It made my heart happy to see him recognized for working hard at his school work!
His picture was "Rip Art."  He tore all the pieces by hand!
Emmett and his art teacher, Mr. Vang.

We celebrated by going out to dinner.  Check out his "ARTIST" sticker.  He loved being called an "Official Artist!"

Spring Snow!

March snow is always wet...perfect snowman building weather!

St. Patrick's Day!

We are not Irish, but that didn't stop us from celebrating St. Patrick's Day!

Squigz!

During the month of April we learned about the ocean in the preschool.  I wanted to buy this top rated toy called Squigz for our lesson on the octopus.  When I brought these home the boys tested them out right away.  I was impressed with their creativity!  They had a lot of fun!

Even Paul had fun playing with them! Lol!

Dr. Seuss's Birthday!

We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday in March!  It was a very fun-filled day!
The kids made Cat in the Hat hats with strawberries, bananas, and an apple...

Rhyming craft...
The kids made a Thing 1 and Thing 2 wig out of blue paper.  Then I gave them their own whiteboard to color and write on.
Emmett has been perfecting his drawing skills lately.  He made many Cat and Hat drawings during the month of March.
What a great group of kids!
These are a few of my favorite things!

Science Museum...

One weekend in early March we had a fun family day at the Science Museum!  Paul and I wanted to take the kids because they had a space theme exhibit.  It was a genuinely nice day spending time with each other.
The kids built their own stomp rocket out of paper.

This was pretty cool for Nate because we learned about dinosaurs in January and we learned about space in March!
We bought the kids ice cream while we watched a live presentation on space themed science experiments.
This was the best!  A space movie in the Omnitheatre!

Afterwards, we brought these goofy kids to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.  They were sick of me taking pictures, so they had my permission to make a silly face.
