Emmett's birthday was another memorable one! Get prepared to read about A LOT of sugary treats! He asked for monkey bread for breakfast....this continues to be his favorite breakfast treat! (The candles started to melt fast because the bread was fresh from the oven.)
Nate and I sneaked away from preschool for a bit to have lunch with Emmett. Emmett taught his soon-to-be Kindergarten brother how to go through the lunch line! I love the bond these two have!
Silly faces!
Emmett requested that he bring ice cream sandwiches to school for his school treat. (He has brought ice cream sandwiches to school on his birthday from preschool through 2nd grade now. It is definitely becoming a tradition!) Emmett also asked for ice cream cones for his after-school treat...
A full house of happy faces!
Emmett's Grandma/pa L mailed him chocolate covered Oreo cookies. They didn't know this, but Oreo's are Emmett's all-time favorite cookie!
Emmett opened his birthday presents before we left for dinner. He originally asked for fried chicken for his birthday, but then he changed his mind. He decided he wanted to go to the Tavern for dinner instead.
Emmett received a remote control truck, and walk talkies...
I had to take a quick photo of this while we were eating at the restaurant....Emmett is showing me how he thinks he is double jointed.
I love these boys!
I had no idea he would receive an ice cream treat for free on his birthday! I bought him a small cake for home. I needed something for him to blow a candle out on....well, now he had two! Yes, I told you there would be a lot of sugar on this post! Ha!
His cake at home...
On Saturday he invited one of his best friend's over for a sleepover...
We went to a pizza place in Hudson where they serve fried chicken and pizza. The boys were in heaven! They also have an arcade where the games are free. The boys had fun playing while they waited for their food!
I got one cupcake for each boy at Nadia Cakes...Emmett chose an Oreo flavored cupcake!
Playing in the yard after the sunset with glow sticks...
The next morning Emmett opened his gift from Harrison...squirt guns, and a Lego set.
We bought Harrison a Lego set too!
Then we all headed over to the Water Park of America for the day!!!!
Nate was so afraid to go down the small water-slides at first...
...then he learned they were nothing to be scared of. This defines Nate to a T!
Happy 8th birthday Emmett!
