Movie Night...

Moments like these make it all worthwhile.  One evening in January...

New Year's Eve...

We were fortunate to have great friends to hang out with on New Year's Eve night.  We ate great food and the kids had a blast playing!

Just as the ball was dropping I remembered to take a few photos.  I am bummed I missed some friends who already left.  I can't believe we lasted as long as we did though!  This was the kids first time lasting until midnight (minus one little guy)!

Bemidji...

Thursday morning we headed up to Bemidji to visit my parents.  We arrived around dinner time.  My sister Becky and her family arrived later (after we had gone to bed).

Friday we went sledding, out to lunch at the Green Mill, and celebrated Christmas back at the house.  Nate LOVED sledding this year!  Yay!  He went down once and proudly said, "I not cry!" :)

Paul and I were freezing!  My mom keeps the thermostat a little lower than most people! :)

Christmas Day at our house...

It was so great to be able to stay at home on Christmas Day and entertain family.  We had such an enjoyable day!

ET woke before Nate, but I made him wait to open his Santa gifts until Nate woke.  As you can see in this picture Nate is still yawning.  It was only minutes after he had woke up.

Nate's big toy he asked Santa for was "a tractor like Jacob's."

ET asked for a Nerf bow and arrow, and a shooting Captain America shield.

ET helped me make a few things in the kitchen, while we waited for Jay's family to arrive...

After we showered and clean up a bit, the boys opened their gifts from us.

We surprised Jay with a new rubber mallet.  Crazy gift, but he really needed one for a while now.

Santa's cookies...

ET requested that we make Nutter Butter Rudolph cookies again for Santa this year.  ET also made a card and wrapped up some extra coins that he had in Kleenexes.  He always feels the need to give Santa a gift "because he give us gifts."  He is such a sweetie!  We set out our Santa cookie plate and some hot cocoa this year.  Santa ate it all up!
